The Thangal hills is just 5 kilometers away from Vagamon. This hills seems to be special for Muslims as it is home to the famous Muslim pigrimage centre, 'Mausoleum of Sheikh Fariduddin'. This centre is placed over the top of the hill and is also blessed with its scenic beauty.
Now, 10 kilometers away from Vagamon, you can find the famous 'Kurishumala hills'. You can find a church here and also a Christian monastry known as 'Kurishumala Ashramam'. People, who make a visit here beliefs in Christianity, Indian customs and Gandhian principles. You can also find here 14 crosses, a particular distance apart from each other. A few kilomaters apart, you can also find a dairy farm, which is also a tourist hot spot.
Upon the Murugan hill, you can find a Murugan temple carved out from the rock. Murugan or Subramanian is a Hindu God, son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathy.
